A Dream Becomes Reality
The creation of Mjolnir TI’s Thor and Loki series began with a dream. We invested extensive time in research to understand the market for survival and functional jewelry, discovering only a few existing pieces that barely you can call them jewelry or survival gears.
The market for EDC (Every Day Carry) items is relatively new, with many people searching for high-quality goods. This demand for reliable and practical tools is where we identified a real need and opportunity.
From Drawings to Prototypes
Our journey started with sketches and the development of an initial silver prototype, which proved too heavy and impractical. This led us to recognize the need for high-end CNC machines to achieve our vision.
The Importance of Expertise
We enlisted the help of Alon, a mechanical engineer specializing in titanium. His expertise was crucial due to the challenges of working with titanium, a material that requires precise, high-end CNC machining.

Overcoming Challenges
Creating numerous prototypes, especially for the complex Loki pendant with its small, replaceable blade, and the Thor pendant, which needed a secure mechanism without screws, was costly and time-consuming. The Thor pendant, in particular, required innovative solutions to ensure user safety and functionality.
Patent-Pending Innovations
Our designs eventually led to patent-pending innovations. We also explored various coloring options, settling on genuine silver and black plasma coating after extensive testing. This process was extremely expensive, involving experts and numerous tests.
Significant Investment
The research and development for the Thor and Loki series exceeded $200,000, reflecting our commitment to producing high-quality, functional, and beautiful jewelry. Regardless of the costs involved, the amount of time we invested far exceeded perfectionism; some even called us crazy! Our calculations show that we dedicated over 2,000 hours to research and development before bringing these masterpieces to life.
